In order to protect wooden packaging from damage and prevent wood pests from entering other countries, it is necessary to carry out fumigation, including, in particular, wooden pallets. With proper treatment, fumigated pallets become free of mature forms of pests, as well as their larvae. This means they can be safely transported internationally out of the European Union without the risk of causing disease to other countries’ ecosystems. This work is carried out in accordance with IPPC ISPM 15:2009.

Currently, the processes for securing wooden pallets involve special fumigation techniques. IPPC pallets are marked with a distinctive spike mark along with an indication of the type of fumigation process. Our pallets are placed in a drying chamber and dried to a maximum of 20% moisture content . Once the fumigation process is complete, they are ready for use.

We always approach pallet production very meticulously and professionally. This is evidenced by the number of certifications and authorizations we hold. Today’s standards require that the pallets being transported be certified. Why is this important? Because they provide a guarantee that the transported goods in the form of pallets, especially wooden pallets, will not be damaged. In addition, proper processing is very important – wooden pallets are not exposed to invasive, harmful effects of woodworms and other maggots, which affect the later quality, which will be noticeable during use.

One of the most important certifications we have is IPPC – this means that each pallet can be submitted for legal processing and the whole procedure took place in accordance with the standards imposed by the European Union. Another certification we have is the ISPM – it allows proper treatment of wood with the ability to get rid of pests whose invasion affects the quality of wood in pallets
